out in that split second between the lights changing cooper’s heart turned into a
drum, questions of doubts started to wonder inside his mind but it wasn’t enough
time to make him question himself so he just rolled with it it’s green and off we go. Sal
is already ahead zigzagging his way between cars as he aggressively shifts gears
without wasting any thrust. While Cooper is barely able to catch up to him streets are
getting tighter and tighter as he’s going faster and faster and getting closer to Sal but
the fear is holding his leg from pushing the pedal to the floor so he did manage to
catch up. But the voice in his head is chasing him to do it “push it push it to the limits
push it now cooper” so he gathers all the courage left in him to put that one last bit of
thrust in and he can feel himself getting closer to sal. Unfortunately the boulevard
was a few meters away from the ending so he couldn’t manage to catch up. Sal starts
to slow down and indicate to Cooper that he was about to pull over. Both of them got
on the road sal got out of his car and made their way to Cooper's car :” hey coopa that
wasn’t bad at all you sure you haven’t raced before?”
Cooper:” if i did i would’ve beaten you today i was very close”
Sal:” oh come on coopa i wasn’t going top speed”
Cooper:” yeah right”
Both of them shared a laugh enjoying this adrenaline rush that they had. Sal pauses
looks down the road :” hey coopa i think you gonna learn a new lesson now but you
gonna do it all on your own”
Cooper:” oh really what is it?”
Sal:” you have to teach yourself how escape”
Cooper:”Wait what?”
Sal rushes to start his car as the police are getting closer to them. Turning their sirens
on. Sal is out and Cooper has started his car and rushed his way out of there so fast
that his tires are drawing his path on the road driving nowhere since his knowledge of
the city is still pretty fresh but he’s still managing to keep a distance between him and
the police. Switching from looking at what's going in front of him to check on the cops
they’re getting way too close for him. Sal is calling him
Cooper: “ you have to help me man i don’t know for how long can i stall”
Sal:” stay calm they won’t crash into you they'll beat the cops, tryna steal your car …
head for the interstate they can’t pull you over if you’re on the interstate … godspeed
fra”
Cooper hangs up; takes a deep breath and pushes the pedal harder than ever before.
It’s just 2 km away. The roads are clear now it’s easy for Cooper to leave but easier for
the cops to catch up the closer they get the louder the sirens gets one of the police cars
gets by his side the other is trying to sandwich him but he narrowly escapes to the
interstate. Police started to slow down. There's no point in chasing him now Cooper is
having a blast he’s no longer afraid, instead he’s craving more of this. The rush the
speed, flirting with death he kept replaying what happened in his mind over and over.
The loop gets interrupted by a phone call from sal :” hey coopa you clear?”
Cooper:” yeah. I’m good”
Sal:”your car has been flagged pass by let me help you try to avoid main roads”
Cooper turns back to dream city. As he got there he find sal and lou2 talking
Lou2:” Mr.cooper nice seeing you again”
sal :” get your car inside the garage i’ll be with you in a second”
Cooper goes back to his car
Lou2:” you better not fuck this man life up man”
