The legend of Rey Asesino eposide 2

          The origins of Rey asesino
Back in his childhood becoming a wrestler was the standard dream of every kid.
Raised by a single mother. Most of her time was either working in the factory or knitting clothes that she sells in the market on Sundays. She gave him homemade sandwiches and 2 Pesos to get on the bus.
Rey would keep the money and walk to school where he and his best friend Andrade would skip school. tear holes in plastic bags and wear them as a Lucha mask. Trying to recreate the matches that they last saw.
Both of them collect as much money as they can to buy a ticket for one person. Either he or Andrade will go and watch the show and tell the other one about the matches play-by-play.
On a sunny evening, Andrade told Rey that his father bought him a ticket for the upcoming event which means they could watch it together for the first time. Rey came back home to discover that his mother got informed that he was skipping school and she was furious about it.
Rey's mother:" how could you lie to me? Every morning for the past month acting like you were tired from school telling me that mathematics was hard. And you were skipping school where did you go? What did you use the money for?"
Rey replied with a stuttering voice:" I went to watch luch-"
His mother interrupted him:" ENOUGH OF THIS SILLY LUHA THAT YOU KEEP TELLING ME ABOUT IT ALL DAY. I'm working my life away so you could become successful in the future while you keep watching these superheroes wanna beat their asses off. If I get notified one more time that you skipped school I'm moving you into another one away from this Lucha nonsense"
He goes to the bathroom, locks himself in, and turns on the shower so she doesn't hear him cry. While he was sobbing he reached into his pocket and held the pay-per-view ticket with both of his hands. On the ticket. his hero Santo vicioso the 2nd face and his opponent on the other end of the ticket. His mom calls him to go to bed so he hid it in his underwear and rushed to bed waiting for tomorrow to come.
Rey woke up early in the morning, his mother didn't leave lunch for him nor money. He grabs his backpack and heads to his school. During his lunch break, he went to Andrade class to tell him about what happened last night. Andrade tried to tell him not to worry about it and think about the pay-per-view that they were going to watch later that evening.
He went back to his home after he finished his classes and came back home to inform his mom he is spending the night at Andrade's house so they can prepare for an upcoming exam. She refused to let him leave the house no matter what excuse he used. The tears start to build up in his eyes but he holds them this time Rey:" okay mother I'll go prepare by myself I'll be in the room"
After the exams, they had the rest of the afternoon for themselves. Rey asked Andrade to tell him what happened yesterday so he told him that Santo Vicioso el 2do has lost his title but he said the most amazing speech. Andrade gave him a paper with speech written on it so he could read it when he felt like it. Rey thanked him and they went back to creating matches with paper-made action figures.
Rey's mother calls him to get back in the house:" I know that I made you cry last time because I was acting so harsh. I know you love wrestling but I don't want you to waste your life away. Why risk being injured when you can become a doctor or a businessman? That way you can have as much money as you want and watch as much lucha as your heart desires please don't waste your future over nothing I love you"
Rey hugged his mother and went to his room to rest. Before falling asleep he remembered the paper Andrade handed him. apparspeech was Santo's final speech.
" I would like every one of you to attend this match and every single one before it. Without you I am nothing. I'm honored to be loved by you. Throughout my career, I've been a nobody and I've been a champion. I know what it feels like to be ignored, underestimated, and left out.
I also know how it feels to be on top of the mountain and to be the one that everyone wants to beat the end for some and kickstart for others. What I'm going to say next might sound silly but being at your lowest is the best thing that could ever happen to you. You have nothing to lose, nothing that's holding you back hence the only way to go is up every dream is a blurred goal. Set one for yourself and work every day to get close to it.``
-Santo vicioso 2nd
Rey made a promise to himself that he will become just like his idol. And put his plan into action the next morning he started running to school the money that was going into the shows is now saved inside his pillow and day by day he can see the belly going away the curves fading his body is more defined and he feels more comfortable wearing clothes his size and he feels more confident.
After graduating from high school he and Andrade consider finding jobs while they train to become wrestlers. Andrade found a good position in the bank near his home but Rey was out of luck; his mother called his uncle if he could help him. He told her that he needs a new guy to help him take care of the gym.
This was all Rey needed for a job in a gym so he could live there. His uncle has been in the fitness world for ages. And he loves Rey as one of his kids. Every day was similar to the day before but that was no issue for him. He dedicates his day to taking care of the gym equipment and cleaning. After the gym closes he goes into an intense workout from cardio grappling and lifting weights. Then he will quietly exit and head to the bar to hang with Andrade.
They chat about what happened that day, wrestling, and the future Andrade said:" I'm comfortable working at the bank at the moment. The money is good. 2 years from now I'll get a raise."
Rey: "What about our dream Andre? What about becoming champions and heading into atlas?"
Andrade: "That's just a childhood dream, wrestling is just a weekend entertainment for me at this point."
A look of disappointment is visible on Rey's face, but he understands why Andrade took that path since he has his younger siblings still studying. Helping his father with his family is more important than reaching his dreams. He's not trying to convince me he's trying to convince himself that he's doing the right thing.
Rey:" whatever makes you happy brother I'm always by your side"
Andrade:" you can keep chasing it though. I mean look at your physique. All you need is a good trainer and you can snatch yourself an opportunity to make it into -the revival-. you should visit Santos wrestling school he's the best in the business"
They stayed a bit more in the pub and then headed back home Rey went back into his house and lay in his bed for a while trying to figure out a way to achieve his goal. Thoughts begin to cluster, people's opinions start to get to him, and now Andrade too?
He leaves his bed and starts doing some push-ups hoping that tiring his body will make him fall asleep faster but it only boosted the flashbacks from his childhood and how he used to be passionate about wrestling. He stops and goes to the kitchen grabs a garbage bag, rips some holes in it like he used to do when he was younger, and wears it suddenly all the passion was brought back in like he was 9 years old again the matches that he used to watch are vivid the moves the finishers the punches everything so he tries to recreate the moves by himself. For some reason, that garbage bag was all he needed and that's when he learned the importance of a luchador's mask......
